How to use it?
Bookmark YouTube channels to a directory of your choice. Then right click the directory, and then click on 'Aggregate RSS'.
- parses subfolders, too
- a '.' (dot) in front of the directory's or bookmark's name excludes it
- works with other RSS compatible sites, too
To-Do list
- ability to exclude youtube shorts
- error feedback, if requests fail
- store the entries of the last successful request, so that it can be shown instead, if the current request fails
- honour youtube's timeouts for rss requests, to not be too spammy
Disclosure
Windsurf with 'Claude' has been used to develop this extension. I only changed parts of the code manually.
The reason is, that I really don't like Javascript.
